I had expected a lot more.Īs much as I did not enjoy the ending, Splendor was still a good book. However surprising it was, Splendor did not fit in with the spectacular, grand books that preceded it. I feel like the author should have changed many things such as the way she ended the book and also how she handled the Diana/Henry situation. I was mad that all of these great books had led up to this one terrible ending. However, as I read the end of the book, I hated it. But when he old accomplice from her previous life comes back to haunt here, her new picture-perfect life goes awry.Īs I read Splendor, I found it very exciting and well written. The new Carolina Broud tries to find love within one of the city’s grandest and oldest families whole trying to keep her past a secret.
Elizabeth starts her new marriage to her father’s former business partner, the man she thinks she knows. The third point in the love triangle, Penelope Schoonmaker, Henry’s wife, tries to find her old rambunctious self within a European prince.
